Job summary

Piedmont Health Services Inc. in Moncure, NC, is seeking a Sterilization Tech to support the Dental Department and maintain a sterile environment. This role reports to the Dentist and assists in maintaining a clean, efficient dental area.

Responsibilities include cleaning chairs and units, sterilizing instruments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring autoclave standards are followed. Requires a high school diploma; pay range is $17.85–$23.99 per hour with a Monday–Thursday 7:45 am–6:15 pm

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Required: Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Current/valid License: None.
• Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and up-to-date prior to starting.
• Pay Range - $17.85 - $23.99 (commensurate with years of experience).

Responsibilities

• Open and Close of Dental Center.
• Appropriately clean dental chair, dental unit, sinks, counter tops and floors.
• Maintain inventory supply.
• Flush and clean dental units daily.
• Clean, lubricate, sterilize handpieces and instruments upon completion of procedure.
• Maintain and clean autoclave based on manufacture instructions.
• Change cold sterilization according to schedule.
• Maintains professional demeanor in all interactions with patients and staff.
• Functions independently and completes assignments with minimal supervision.
• Adapts to changes in the work environment.
• Maintains acceptable attendance record.
• Observes work schedule by being punctual for shift, observing designated break schedule area while on duty.
• Adheres to all applicable Center and department rules, policies and procedures.
• Participates in continuing education , in-services, staff development and meetings.
• Consistently works in a positive and cooperative manner with other employees in and outside of departmental unit.
• Values and incorporates the contributions of people from diverse backgrounds; demonstrates respect for the opinions and ideas of others.
• Assist in training and orientation of new staff.
• Shares information and own expertise with others to enable them to accomplish goals and objectives.
• Seeks out opportunities to help rather than waiting to be asked.
• Assist other team members in the performance of their assignment.
• Performances all others duties as assigned or needed.

About Position
