Job summary

Precision Orthodontics is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sterilization Technician to join our team across clinic locations in California. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dental care by cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing instruments and supplies.

You will monitor sterilization equipment, maintain logs, ensure OSHA/CDC compliance, and work closely with dentists and hygienists to ensure instrument readiness for procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification or training in sterilization or dental assisting is a plus.
• Previous dental office/healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization methods and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize, clean, and package dental instruments per infection control protocols.
• Perform routine checks on sterilization equipment and report malfunctions.
• Monitor inventory and order sterilization supplies as needed.
• Ensure OSHA and CDC guidelines are followed in the dental office.
• Keep instruments organized and work areas sanitary and orderly.
• Coordinate with dentists and hygienists to ensure instrument readiness.
• Maintain logs and documentation of sterilization procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols and standards.
• Perform routine checks on sterilization equipment and report any malfunctioning to the office manager.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of sterilization supplies, ordering as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control and safety practices within the dental office.
• Organize clean instruments and ensure that work areas are maintained in a tidy and sanitary condition.
• Work closely with dentists and dental hygienists to ensure instrument availability and readiness for procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in sterilization or dental assisting is a plus.
• Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization methods and infection control protocols.
