Job summary

Sotera Health in New York, NY is seeking a Process Operator to monitor sterilization equipment, ensuring safe operation and adherence to quality standards. You will observe pressure, temperature and humidity, adjust controls, document readings and report issues to supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of sterilization experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Willing to work established shifts.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred.
• Computer skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system including pressure, temperature and humidity readings.
• Turn valves and adjust controls for safe equipment operation.
• Observe sterilizers and auxiliaries for malfunctions and assist repairs.
• Document and record process readings accurately.
• Report damaged product to Shift/Process Supervisor or Maintenance.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance tasks and assist Maintenance as needed.
