Job summary

Taconic Biosciences, Inc. in Germantown, NY is seeking a hands-on Support Services Technician to join our Central Processing Area team.

The role focuses on cleaning, sterilizing, transporting, and processing barrier supplies to support animal production needs, with cross-training opportunities. Be ready for a physically demanding environment, operate autoclaves and forklifts, and collaborate with a team to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience or equivalent training.
• Willingness to learn and strong problem-solving.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Operate autoclaves to sterilize barrier supplies.
• Move products and equipment with forklift.
• Process loads per delivery schedule to meet deadlines.
• Load and unload autoclaves using pallet jack.
• Move containers using pallet jack or forklift.
• Assist in barrier start up.
• Process assorted barrier laundry.
• Load assorted barrier supplies into autoclavable containers.
• Load feed containers.
