Job summary

Suburban Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Trainee to join the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) and support efficient instrument processing for patient care.

You will learn decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization and storage of reusable instruments, with no prior experience required and certification pursued within two years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain certification through CBSPD, HSPA, or IAHCSMM within two years of hire.
• No prior experience required; healthcare or sterile processing exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.
