Overview

The Sterile Processing Technologist assists the surgical team by cleaning and sterilizing critical surgical and procedural instruments, preparing and maintaining supplies, equipment and instruments for cases, and ensuring compliance with sterile processing policies, procedures, and HIPAA. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and strong prioritization skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

The SPD Tech will demonstrate excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with teammates, physicians, ancillary staff, and patients. The position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and may involve cross‑training to other functions as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years as Sterile Processing Technologist (Preferred)
• Certification in Sterile Processing (Preferred)
