Job summary

Care New England Health System, Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI, seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, clean, and prepare surgical instruments for the OR. You will operate sterilizers and washers, perform high-level disinfection, and ensure proper sterilization parameters are met for all instruments.

You will collaborate with OR teams and Supply Chain, maintain documentation, and participate in process improvements while adhering to regulatory policies.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Surgical Services experience preferred.
• CRCST certification is required.
• Strong skills in inventory management, analytics, problem solving, communication, and leadership.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect, and assemble surgical instrumentation.
• Operate sterilizers, washers, and endoscope reprocessors; perform high-level disinfection.
• Disinfect video scopes and inspect equipment; read protocol parameters.
• Follow cleaning protocols and use appropriate agents.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and function; wrap and assemble trays.
• Collaborate with OR and Supply Chain to organize supplies.
• Maintain records, run tests, and support process improvements.
