Job summary

The role requires completion of Sterile Processing Technician certification or equivalent within 2 years and 2 years of SPD experience preferred. Must demonstrate aseptic technique and good communication, with the ability to work with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School/GED required.
• Requires effective verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to work professionally with team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist with checking sterile supplies and operating room stocking.
• Handle decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments.
• Maintain aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Record temperature/humidity, downtime, and sterilizer maintenance.
• Operate Endoscopy duties and support RN during procedures.
• Educate staff on SPD concepts and instrument care.
