Job summary

Logan Health Whitefish in Whitefish, Montana, seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to join our surgical support team. You will decontaminate, sterilize, inspect, and assemble instruments, ensuring safe patient care and efficient case flow.

Candidates with a year of sterile processing or healthcare experience and a preferred certification will be supported in obtaining CBSPD/IAHCSMM within two years. This on‑site role offers day shifts and PRN options at a leading Montana health system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year work experience in sterile processing or healthcare preferred.
• Certification (preferred) candidates must obtain CBSPD/IAHCSMM within two years of hire.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment per standards.
• Perform quality checks to ensure safety and surgery readiness.
• Assemble and prep surgical trays and instrument sets accurately.
• Wrap, label, and prepare trays for sterilization and transport.
• Maintain organized inventory of instruments and supplies.
• Communicate shortages or damaged instruments to teams.
• Support surgical staff to ensure instruments are available when needed.
• Maintain efficient workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
