Job summary

Mercy in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Sterile Processing Instrument Technician. Under general supervision, you will follow Decontamination, Processing and Sterilization processes, clean instruments, inspect, function test and assemble for High Level Disinfection.

You will maintain documentation in logs or computer systems, prioritize instrumentation, answer phones and dispatch items. Must wear PPE, have a high school diploma, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow Decontamination, Processing and Sterilization processes.
• Clean instruments and equipment and ensure items are free of bioburden.
• Inspect, function test and assemble instruments for High Level Disinfection or Sterilization.
• Maintain documentation in logs or computer systems.
• Prioritize instrumentation, answer telephones and dispatch items.
