Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Clerk to maintain and prepare surgical instruments and supplies for the operating room. You will work under the Clinical Leader/RN to ensure sterile technique and proper handling of equipment.

Responsibilities include sterilization, disinfection, and occasional crossover duties in inventory management. High school diploma or GED required, BCLS within 90 days, certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Understanding of sterilization and high‑level disinfection technologies.
• Prior experience in instrument processing preferred.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of employment or current BCLS.
• Certification in instrument processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain instruments and equipment in optimal condition.
• Prepare instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies for the surgical patient.
• Perform crossover duties in purchasing supplies and inventory management per policy.
