Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively.
• At least one year in Sterile Processing or related medical field preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and online learning requirements for job-specific competencies.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare instrumentation, sterilize trays, packs and supplies for Surgical Services.
• Assemble/restock implant systems and instruments as needed.
• Maintain quality assurance standards related to sterilization and infection control.
• Track and retrieve instruments and supplies loaned interdepartmentally and to outside hospitals.
• Assist OR staff with instrumentation questions and proper use of equipment.
• Provide education and training to new employees as needed.
