Job summary

Mayo Career Site US in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Central Service Technician to support the operating room team by decontaminating, assembling, inspecting, packaging, sterilizing, storing and distributing reusable instruments and equipment.

Under supervision, you will re-process surgical equipment per manufacturer guidelines, maintain inventory of processed supplies, and assist the sterile core to meet the surgical teams' needs. On-call report time requires a 45-minute driving distance.

• Candidates must live within a 45-minute drive to campus to meet on-call report time requirements.

Job description

Responsible for performing delegated activities to support the operating room team in the care of the surgical patient as well as procedural areas within the hospital. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Central Service Team Leaders and Central Service Supervisor and in collaboration with the operating room team.
