Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Sterile Processing Technician Lead, you will be responsible for the cleanliness, operation, and sterility of surgical instruments, providing sterilization services within the department.

• Retrieve, clean, decontaminate, and check instruments after surgical cases.
• Operate sterilizers, perform biological testing, and document sterilization processes.
• Monitor equipment, report shortages, and maintain supply areas.
• Inspect received supplies for defects or expiration.
• Maintain PPE and ensure cleanliness of the department.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 3 years of clinical or sterile processing experience.
• 4 years working with instrumentation and infection control (preferred).
• Previous central sterile processing experience (preferred).

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of college in a related field (preferred).

Licenses and Certifications:

• AAMI certification (preferred).
• IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification (preferred).
