Job summary

Methodist Celina Medical Center seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, sterilize, and deliver supply orders for the surgical services team. You will clean, inspect, and prepare instrument trays, assist with patient equipment preparation, and support inventory and restocking across the department.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program (or Surgical Technologist Program), or hospital-based training, plus

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program
• Or Surgical Technologist Program
• Or On the job training in a hospital based training program
• Licenses and/or Certifications: Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD

Responsibilities

• Receives fills and delivers supply orders, processes and sterilizes instruments trays.
• Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts.
• Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.
