Job summary

Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services. You will receive, process, sterilize instruments and supplies, and prepare case carts while maintaining equipment and inventory accuracy.

The role requires HS diploma or equivalent, completion of a sterile processing program or surgical tech training, and certification by HSPA/IAHCSMM or CBSPD. On-call duties are included; hospital-based training is acceptable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program or Surgical Technologist Program or on-the-job hospital training accepted.
• Certification by HSPA (IAHCSMM) or CBSPD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives fills and delivers supply orders, processes and sterilizes instrument trays.
• Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts.
• Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.
