Job summary

Methodist Celina Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room and supply chain needs. You will receive, sterilize and deliver instrument trays, clean and inspect patient equipment, and restock carts and supplies across the department.

The role requires a high school diploma and training in sterile processing or surgical technology, with hospital-based on-the-job training as an option, and certification by HSPA or CBSPD preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program.
• Surgical Technologist Program.
• On the job training in a hospital based training program.

Responsibilities

• Receives fills and delivers supply orders.
• Processes and sterilizes instrument trays.
• Cleans and inspects patient equipment.
• Gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts.
• Operates equipment and some computer systems; inventories and restocks supplies and special carts.
