SCA Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Clerk (Instrument Processing Technician) to maintain instruments, prepare sterile supplies, and support the surgical team at our Bethesda, MD location.

The role requires knowledge of sterilization procedures, high-level disinfection, and prior instrument processing experience; BCLS certification is required within 90 days of hire. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of sterilization and high-level disinfection technologies including industry standards.
• Prior instrument processing experience preferred.
• Prior experience as a surgical technologist/procedure technologist preferred.
• BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment or current.
• Certification in instrument processing is preferred.

Mansioni

• Functions as an Instrument Processing Technician under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Registered Nurse.
• Maintain instruments and equipment in an optimal condition and prepare instrumentation, equipment and sterile supplies for the surgical patient.
• Operate according to sterilization standards and aseptic technique; ensure proper storage and handling of supplies.
• Assist with cross-functional duties such as purchasing supplies and inventory management per facility policy.
