JOB SUMMARY

This position provides general sterile processing services within the hospital. These services include assembly, distribution and storage of supplies and equipment as well as retrieval of dirty equipment.

WORK HOURS & AVAILABILITY

Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. If less than 1 year experience, must have completed a Central Service Technician Program/Course or Surgical Technician Program/Course.
• License/Certifications: Must obtain IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification within one year of hire.
• Knowledge & Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to manage, prioritize, and complete work assignments and other duties as assigned.
• Equipment: Able to work with varied decontamination and sterilization equipment.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
