Job summary

Boone Hospital Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the Evening shift. You will perform decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of sterile instrumentation across the hospital.

Prioritization of instrument sets according to the surgery schedule and meticulous documentation are required. The role requires attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot sterilization equipment, and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• CRCST or equivalent certification preferred.
• IAHCSMM certification preferred.
• Bd For Sterile Processing/Distribution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and processes instrument sets, trays and linen; prioritizes trays per surgery schedule.
• Operates and troubleshoots steam sterilizers.
• Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation to manufacturer standards.
• Ensures correct reassembly and functioning of instrumentation.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
