The Sterile Processing Technician ensures that instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated for safe handling. This position does not directly manage any other caregivers.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:**Coordinates, assembles and disassembles, and distributes supplies for surgical casesCleans, decontaminates, and sterilizes instruments and suppliesResponsible for case cart and procedure preparationOperates various sterilization equipmentRe-stocks department inventory and ensures instruments are stored in the proper locationCleans and maintains department equipmentSupports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respectsSupports Value Improvement Practice (VIP- Lean) principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm, functioning as a champion of changeProvides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients and guestsConducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
