Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Assistant for full-time, dayshift coverage in Louisville, KY. The role supports the Sterile Processing Department by preparing, stocking, and organizing supplies, while ensuring sterility and timely handling of case carts and instruments.

Ideal candidates will have strong organizational and communication skills, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and deliver courteous service to SPD customers.

Qualifications

• Prior healthcare experience preferred.
• Sterile Processing knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes supplies to sterile storage and rotates sterile supplies for maximum utilization.
• Assembles case carts in a timely manner maintaining sterility.
• Answers bell and phone and relays messages promptly.
• Maintains clean, safe, and orderly SPD areas and proper storage of supplies.
• Utilizes tracking system for sterile processing tasks as assigned.
• Performs cleaning, stocking, and organizational duties daily to promote efficiency.
