Job summary

OrthoNebraska in Omaha is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the SPD department by decontaminating, inspecting, packaging and sterilizing instrument sets, ensuring on-time supply for the surgical team.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, with Sterile Processing Certification preferred and 1+ year of surgical experience. Work hours are 40 per week, Mon–Fri 2:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.; background checks and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Education or GED required.
• Certification: Sterile Processing Certification preferred.
• Experience: 1+ year of surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Disinfection.
• Preparation and Sterilization.
• Keeps accurate records of sterilization processes to comply with regulations.
• Carefully handles sterilized items to ensure sterility.
• Promotes teamwork and supports quality and cost-effective care.
