Job summary

AHN Heritage Valley Sewickley is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician for an on-site role. You will decontaminate and reprocess sterile supplies, and transport equipment to patient care areas.

Requirements include CRCST, a high school diploma, passing a national central service exam, 10 hours of CE annually, and to pass all clearances within 90 days. 10-hour shifts, weekend call, and one holiday per year.

Qualifications

• Required: CRCST certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a nationally accredited central service exam for CRCST and maintain certification
• CSP technicians will have 18 months from date of hire to pass a nationally accredited central service exam
• Must complete 10 hours of continuing education annually
• Successful completion of applicable clearances within 90 days of commencing employment
• CSP Techs employed as central service technicians prior to 12/28/2020 are exempt from certification requirements

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and reprocesses all in-house prepared sterile supplies. Issues, tracks, decontaminates, maintains, transports various types of patient care equipment to provide quality patient care.
