Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician - Certified - MUST HAVE STERILE PROCESSING CERTIFICATION TO BE CONSIDERED

Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC

Department: Sterile Processing

Schedule: PRN, Day Shift (8am-4:30pm)

This includes cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing these items. The department ensures that instruments and equipment are available, properly maintained, and ready for immediate use, supporting patient care. Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST, or CSPDT, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology. Maintains Sterile Processing Technician certification.
