Job Description

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician (All Levels) to join the team. This role offers both Full-time and Part-time shifts from Monday to Friday, with days and evenings, including rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Investigate problems and proactively resolve issues to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate with OR staff to review schedules and prepare instrumentation, anticipating needs and conflicts.
• Sort, process, and inspect instrumentation to ensure safety and functionality.
• Prepare instruments for sterilization, including cleaning lumens and proper loading.
• Ensure instruments are free from bio-burden and in working condition before assembly.
• Validate sterilization by reading and documenting chemical and biological indicators.
• Collaborate with team members, mentor new staff, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Additional Requirements

• Work schedule: 8-hour shifts, days/evenings/nights, rotating weekends.
• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: Varies by level, from preferred experience to two years in sterile processing.
