Position Overview

This position involves leading and supporting the Sterile Processing Department, focusing on cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, sterilizing, and assembling surgical instruments and equipment. Responsibilities also include disinfecting and reassembling patient care equipment like ventilators.

Minimum Qualifications

• CRCST from HSPA or CSPDT from CBSPD
• Within 6 months of hire, obtain an advanced certification from HSPA or CBSPD (e.g., CIS, CSIS, CER, CFER, CHL, CSPM)
• Maintain certification through CEUs and renewals
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 5 years recent experience in a similar setting
• Knowledge of AAMI practices and AORN guidelines
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Central Processing Unit programs and software
• Ability to apply policies, report problems, and exercise sound judgment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Position Details

• Salary: $33.92 - $42.18/hour
• Full-time, 100% on-site
• Shifts: M-F, various times
• Location: Sacramento, CA
