Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician 2 to join the team. This role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend, evening shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Sterile Processing Technician 2 Responsibilities:

• Sort instrumentation and select proper processing mechanisms to ensure item integrity and prevent damage.
• Prepare instrumentation for decontamination, including flushing lumens and loading washers.
• Load items for sterilization, record loads, and add biological tests.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality before assembling sets.
• Validate sterilization by interpreting and documenting chemical and biological indicators.

Additional Requirements:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, every other weekend, evening shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm.
• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: At least 1 year in sterile processing.
• Certification: CRCST or CBSPD certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
