Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on Washington's North Olympic Peninsula seeks a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician assistant to support the preparation, processing and storage of sterile instrumentation and equipment used in clinical services, working closely with a Certified Sterile Processing Technician. Requires a high school diploma or GED.

CRCST certification is required within one year of hire. Prior experience in decontamination, processing and sterilization is preferred; the role may also

• Variable PAY RANGE: $22.61 - $33.33
• UNION: SEIU 1199-Service and Dietary
• SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS: Weekend & Holiday Shifts: Yes
• Shift Differentials: Yes
• Evening - $3.00/hour
• Night - $5.00/hour
• Weekend - $4.50/hour
• Premiums: Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
• Lead - $3.25/hour
• On-Call - $3.00/hour
• Preceptor - $1.50/hour
• Trainer - $1.50/hour

Job Description

In collaboration with a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, assists and is accountable for the preparation, processing and storage of sterile instrumentation, and equipment utilized in clinical services. Secondarily, may be called on to fulfill distribution duties as requested.

Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

Prior proven experience and expertise in decontamination, processing and sterilization techniques and best practices preferred. One year of experience in the field of Central Services and/or sterile processing preferred.

Licensure/Credentials

CRCST certification required within one year of hire.
