Job summary

Hudson Hospital & Clinic is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure safe handling, cleaning, disinfection and assembly of instrumentation and patient equipment. The role includes monitoring supplies and maintaining clean sterile processing areas, with additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have high school education, coursework in sterile processing, and certification in sterilization, with CSPDT certification either already obtained or within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Coursework in Sterile Processing or equivalent Sterile Processing Technician experience
• Graduate of an accredited Sterilization Tech program.
• Certification in sterilization
• Current CSPDT from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or obtained within one year from hire date

Responsibilities

• Handle, clean, disinfect, sterilize and assemble instrumentation and patient-related equipment to render them safe for handling and use.
• Monitor, order and stock supplies for the department.
• Perform regular cleaning of the sterile processing and supply areas.
• Complete other duties as assigned
