Somerset Ambulatory Surgical Center is seeking a per diem Sterile Processing Technician to support our operating rooms. The technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments and prepares supplies for surgery cases.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of sterile processing experience, with completion of a Sterile Processing Certification preferred. Pay range is $21.00–$24.00 per hour, and USPI benefits apply to eligible employment.

Sterile Processing Technician at Somerset Ambulatory Surgical Center

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent


• Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience


• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred


• Experience with all types of sterilizers


• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures


• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items


• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed

Pay Range: $21.00/hr - $24.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
