Job summary

The Advanced Center for Surgery in Vero Beach is seeking a motivated Per Diem Sterile Processing Technician to maintain all surgical instrumentation and setup for procedures at our multispecialty ambulatory center. We are an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI).

Qualified candidates will be certified in Sterile Processing, with 2–3 years in instrument room settings, and knowledge of Sterrad and steam/gravity sterilizers. Per diem schedule and on-site work offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.

We are currently searching for a motivated, hardworking Certified Sterile Processing Technician.

Position Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Required Skills

• Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
