Job summary

The Advanced Center for Surgery in Florida is seeking a Per Diem Sterile Processing Technician to manage, clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments for procedures at a multispecialty ambulatory center. You will maintain sterile supplies and ensure accurate instrument sets for daily cases.

Candidate must be a trusted, detail-oriented professional with 2–3 years of Instrument Room Technician experience and strong knowledge of sterilization equipment, records, and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician preferred.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers and knowledge of OR instrumentation.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and department supplies.

We are currently searching for a motivated, hardworking Certified Sterile Processing Technician.

Position Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Required Skills

• Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
