Job summary

Grand River Health Main Campus in Rifle, Colorado is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician (PRN, days) to clean, sterilize, test, assemble and distribute instruments and supplies to hospital units. You will ensure proper sterilization processes, manage inventories, and support frontline staff with critical equipment.

Eligible candidates may have six months' medical experience, a current BLS card, and CST certification or related experience.

Qualifications

• Six months' experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Must have a current American Heart Association approved BLS card within three months of hire and maintain status.
• Graduate of certified Central Service Technician program or related experience.
• Familiarity with hospital supplies, equipment, and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Clean, test, adjust, assemble and sterilize reusable medical supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Stores and distributes patient care medical instruments and equipment to hospital units and stocks supply storage areas.
• Performs, analyzes and documents sterilizer functions, tests vacuums, indicators, evaluates and inspects equipment, answers calls, and assists patients and staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Clean, test, adjust, assemble and sterilize reusable medical supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Stores and distributes patient care medical instruments and equipment to hospital units, stocks medical supply storage areas.
• Performs, analyzes and documents sterilizer functions, tests vacuums, chemical and biological indicators, evaluates and inspects equipment, answers telephones, handles face to face interactions with patients and hospital personnel.
• Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

Who We're Looking For

• Six months' experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Must have a current American Heart Association approved BLS card within three months of hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
• Graduate of certified Central Service Technician program or previous experience as Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital supplies, equipment, instruments preferred.\

• Pay Range:$XXX/hour (based on experience)
• Shift Differentials:$2-$4/hour for nights and weekends
• PRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salary
