Job summary

Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, CA is seeking a Per Diem Central Sterile Technician to support cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of instruments. You will help maintain infection control standards to ensure safe patient care in a busy hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have completed a Sterile Processing Program, CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification, and are available for rotating shifts and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Sterile Processing Program.
• Must be available to take call to ensure patient care needs are met.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Current CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM certification.
• One year of experience as Certified SPT preferred, 400 hours of SPD externship experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning/decontaminating instruments and equipment.
• Sterilization and handling of sterile supplies with a focus on infection control.
