Ascension is seeking a Central Service Technician specializing in Sterile Processing to join the Mequon facility's Sterile Processing team. In this full-time evening shift, you will decontaminate and prepare surgical inventory, inspect instrument sets, operate sterilization equipment, and build accurate case carts to support operating room workflows.
Qualifications include IA HCSMM or CBSPD certification preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of related experience).

Decontaminate and prepare surgical inventory according to precise manufacturer instructions (IFUs) and rigorous safety standards, directly safeguarding patient safety before every procedure.
Inspect, assemble, and validate instrument sets with precision, taking ownership of quality checks and repairs so surgical teams have complete, reliable tools ready in the operating room.
Operate and monitor advanced sterilization equipment to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and infection control across all surgical containers.
Build accurate surgical case carts by proactively managing inventory levels and tracking instrument sets, ensuring smooth operating room workflows and zero surgical delays.
Elevate team performance and quality standards by participating in peer quality assurance audits, fostering a collaborative culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the InternationalAssociation of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Preferred.
Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Boardfor Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
