Job summary

Providence is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform routine work in decontamination, assembly, testing, and instruments under supervision at Covenant Medical Center. This is a first level in a three-level series, with training towards higher levels.

Hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00 pm–9:30 pm. Eligible external candidates may receive a $2,000 hiring bonus in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Vocational training in Sterile Processing.
• Preferred: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (HSCPA) upon hire or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CBSPD) upon hire

The Sterile Processing Technician performs routine work in the decontamination, assembly, testing, and instruments in a medical facility, under the supervision of the Supervisor of Sterile Processing.

Hours: Tuesday - Saturday from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

This is the first level of a three-level series. It is distinguished from the higher levels by the absence of responsibility for performing advanced and complicated sterilization, assembly and testing of medical equipment, supplies and instruments. Employees in this level may be in training to perform Sterile Processing Technician II duties.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
