Net2Source Inc. is seeking a Surgical Reprocessing Technician (Sterile Processing Technician) in Clinton Township, MI.

This contract role supports operating rooms and inpatient/outpatient areas by cleaning, inspecting, assembling, disinfecting and sterilizing surgical products. Under general supervision, you will document sterilization processes, ensure compliance with standards, and prepare case carts according to surgeon preferences.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in sterile processing or a related role.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Central Service Certification.
• BLS from AHA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Customer service skills.
• Completion of medical terminology course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, disinfect and sterilize surgical products for the OR and related areas.
• Document and monitor all sterilization processes (steam, alcohol, Sterrad, high-level disinfectants).
• Ensure monitoring methods comply with standards.
• Anticipate instrumentation needs and assemble procedure-specific case carts.
• Receive, unpack, stock supplies with proper par levels.
• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure supplies are ready per surgeon's preference.

Job Type: Contract

Shift: 3pm-1130pm and 11pm-730am

Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00/hr.

Job Description

• Under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager / Director cleans, inspects, assembles, packages disinfects / sterilizes all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical team in the inpatient, outpatient departments, Operating room, Emergency Room, Delivery Room and satellites.
• Documents and monitors all sterilization processes in assigned areas including but not limited to: steam, ETOH, Sterrad and high level disinfectants.
• Ensures all monitoring methods are compliant with the standards.
• Supplies the needs of various departments requiring the services of the department by properly meeting and anticipating the instrumentation needs for pending cases for assembly of procedure specific case carts needs.
• Receives, unpacks, shelves supplies and stock while maintaining appropriate par levels with rotation sterile supply management principles.
• Works with the surgical specialty teams to ensure that the supplies for each patient are available when needed. Proactive coordination of preparing the case cart according to the surgeon's preference card for the supplies, equipment, instruments and implants needed for each patient.

Required

• At least 5-7 years of experience.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Central Service Certification.
• BLS from AHA.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and hospital personnel.
• Computer skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Completion of medical terminology course is preferred.
