Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for procedures. You will support safe, efficient surgeries by preparing instrument trays and maintaining sterile environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and resolve issues to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Prepare and organize instrument trays and surgical rooms based on schedule and needs.
• Safely handle and dispose biohazardous materials; keep the area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support surgeries.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards

• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care

• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs

• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized

• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
