They maintain recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilization of surgical instruments. **Essential Responsibilities** The following description of responsibilities to be performed is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. • Perform biological and chemical monitoring in accordance with quality assurance standards • Collaborate with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner • Perform service-specific responsibilities: including collaboration with Surgical Services Support Manager and Director of Surgical Services to provide services specific to instrumentation, supplies, and equipment **Other Responsibilities** • Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner • Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment • Support, understand, and promote Alomere Health’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures • Ability to meet the work schedule requirements with flexibility dependent upon the needs of the department • Foster respectful working relationships with professional colleagues, patients, families, and general public regardless of age, gender, lifestyle, culture, beliefs, race, socioeconomic class, or ability## Qualifications**Required Qualifications** • High School Diploma **Preferred Qualifications** • Prior experience in a similar role **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** • Ability to stand/walk a majority of the day • Maintain knowledge of all policies and procedures as they relate to the cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of trays to all the units of the hospital **Union Position**Yes
