HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake in Webster, TX is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgery. This weekend shift supports safe, high-quality patient care and a collaborative surgical team.

You will work with nurses and surgeons, monitor cycles, organize instrument trays, and adhere to safety standards. A high school diploma and CSPDT/CRCST certification within 2 years are required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Certification in Sterile Processing (CSPDT) or (CRCST) must be obtained within 2 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies per safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on daily schedule and procedures.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials and keeping the area clean.
• Collaborating with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support efficient surgeries.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, youll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

What qualifications you will need:

• Shift Time 2:00pm to 10:30pm Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
• High School Graduate / GED
• (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
