Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Washington. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality standards in the Sterile Processing Department, with exposure to Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and service lines such as URO, general, and GYN.

You will process, sterilize, and prepare instruments, train staff, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sterile processing role.
  • Certifications in CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA required.
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize standard sterilization techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Process, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and trays.
  • Participate in the training and onboarding of new staff within the department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and case picking.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety standards in all processes.
  • Float between like units as necessary to meet departmental needs.

Responsibilities
  • Process, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and trays.
  • Participate in the training and onboarding of new staff within the department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and case picking.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety standards in all processes.
  • Float between like units as necessary to meet departmental needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sterile processing role.
  • Certifications in CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA required.
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize standard sterilization techniques and procedures.
