Job summary

Riverside Methodist Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech (Non-Certified) for the evening shift. You will perform decontamination, cleaning and sterilization of instruments, power equipment and endoscopes, and assist in packaging and case preparation.

The role requires teamwork, strong customer service, and adherence to AAMI/AORN standards. You will support operating rooms and external customers while maintaining safety and quality in a busy SPD.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, High School or GED (Required).
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform basic math.
• Working knowledge of AAMI and AORN standards.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect and clean various reusable surgical instruments.
• Prepare and package instrumentation, perform quality control testing.
• Maintain records and monitor sterilization equipment.
• Assist with instrument tracking and surgical case preparation.
• Stock, clean, answer phones, transport supplies and train peers as needed.
• Provide direct customer service to operating rooms and external customers.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and industry best practices.
