Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support safe patient care in a Level I Trauma Center. You will perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and reprocessing of surgical instruments and equipment, with accurate documentation and adherence to sterile processing standards.

The role is a 1.0 FTE, evenings (11:00am–9:30pm), Friday through Monday, in Jacksonville, FL. Requires high school diploma or GED and Central Service Certification (CBSPD/CRCST) or CST

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Central Service Certification (CBSPD/CRCST) or Surgical Technology Certification (CST) within 1 year of hire.
• One year or training in sterile processing preferred.
• Grandfathering rules apply for employees hired before 2014.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, sterilize and reprocess patient care equipment, instruments and supplies.
• Maintain accurate sterilization documentation.
• Work under supervision and collaborate with team to support hospital areas.
