Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Technologist experience or current enrollment in a Sterile Processing Certification program.
• Preference for CRCST certification within 1 year (not required on hire).

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, assembles and sterilizes instrumentation per national guidelines and internal standards.
• Operates departmental equipment within approved policies and procedures.
• Maintains thorough documentation of sterilization processes for quality control.
• Prioritizes and communicates customer needs within the department and with customers.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Understands instrumentation and equipment used in all customer areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager related to Sterile Processing.
• Demonstrates professional, clinical, and technical competencies for the assigned unit.
