Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a sterile processing technician for part-time, on-site shifts in the South Jersey area. You will prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, transport equipment, and support the operating rooms and related departments.

The role requires basic education (HS diploma or GED) and preferred CRCST/CBSPD certification or a plan to obtain it within 6 months. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and more.

Qualifications

• Previous sterile processing experience or formal training in sterile processing/surgical instrumentation preferred.
• Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Training/Certifications/Licensure: CRCST/CBSPD preferred; certification within 6 months of employment if completed a sterile processing course.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, inspects and assembles surgical instruments, powered devices and endoscopes for sterilization.
• Cleans, disinfects patient care equipment and surgical instruments from clinical units and OR areas.
• Delivers equipment, inventories specialty carts and replenishes supplies for department and OR Case Cart System.
• Transports soiled and sterile instrumentation between facilities (Marlton positions).
• Operates, monitors and documents results of decontamination and sterilization equipment.
