Job summary

Shriners Children's in Portland, OR, is hiring a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician to join the Surgical Services team. You will perform sterilization, packaging, and aseptic cleaning of instruments and trays, while maintaining a clean environment and inventory.

Required: High School diploma or GED and 2 years in sterile processing; CSPDT preferred. Pay range is $21.97–$32.95 per hour, with compensation based on experience and equity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in sterile processing required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean environment in sterile processing department by wearing appropriate clothing, hair and face covering, and cover coats, and removing/changing aprons, masks, etc., as necessary.
• Safely cleans, packages, assembles, sterilizes instruments and trays using aseptic technique.
• Correctly operates, monitors, and documents all cleaning and sterilizing equipment in CS and OR area according to equipment manufacturer's instructions
• Maintains appropriate CS and Surgery inventory by routinely counting, ordering, and restocking par level supplies.
• Responds immediately to all requests from Surgery for different or additional items.
