Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to maintain and care for all surgical instruments and prepare supplies for surgery cases.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, Sterile Process Certification, 1–2 years of experience, and familiarity with sterilizers and OR instrumentation. Vpro/Medivator experience is a plus; lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Vpro and Medivator experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
