Summit Orthopedics in Plymouth, MN is seeking a part-time Sterile Processing Tech. The role involves decontaminating, preparing, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments; a 0.875 FTE schedule with 10-hour shifts and potential to float to other Summit sites.

Qualifications

• Decontaminates and sterilizes surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Inspects, assembles, wraps and sterilizes trays of instruments.
• Maintains sterilization logs and documents steps of the process.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, medical supplies and equipment; inspects, assembles, wraps and sterilizes trays of instruments.
• Monitors wash solutions to ensure quality for decontamination.
• Sorts mismatched sets and makes instruments available to sterile processing customers.
• Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory; submits requisitions; distributes instruments and equipment.
• Maintains environment and supports inventory in sterile processing and OR areas.
• Ensures equipment functions properly and records repairs or replacements.
• Keeps a clean, orderly work area and disposes of waste.
• Follows policies and supports infection control standards.
• Acts as staff resource for sterile processing.
