Job summary

St Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to join our Central Sterile Processing team. Part-time, evening shifts 8 hours, 20 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will ensure safe handling, cleaning and sterilization of instruments, perform inspection and assembly of OR instruments, and support maintenance of implantable hardware in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CRCST certification with 1 year of Sterile Processing experience outside clinical hours for certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe handling, care, cleaning and sterilization procedures within the department.
• Inspect, assemble and maintain OR instruments and implantable hardware.

Job Summary

The role of the technician is to ensure the safe handling, care, cleaning and sterilization procedures and maintained within the department. The Sterile Processing Technician performs instrument inspection, assembly and maintenance of all OR instrument, and implantable hardware.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Must have at least 1 year of previous Sterile Processing experience outside of clinical hours for certification.
